Assistant Merchandiser - M&S Jewellery

DCK is one of the world's leading fashion jewellery companies, working with many well-known retailers and high street fashion brands. Some of our hosts include M&S, River Island. Matalan, Next, Tesco and many more! This is a role to work on our M&S Jewellery account.

We are pleased to have a fantastic opportunity available for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our successful Merchandising team at DCK in our Billericay office.

You will;

  • Support the Merchandising team with accurate, actionable analysis to drive profit across all channels

  • Report on department and category performance, highlighting risks and opportunities to improve trade

  • Produce and present weekly trade reports with key insights and recommended actions

  • Own trading for key categories, identifying repeat opportunities, promotions, and markdowns

  • Reforecast key lines regularly to ensure stock levels meet demand

  • Maintain and update the WSSI to reflect intake, sales, and markdowns in line with trade and promo plans

  • Track and review stock inventory, flagging risks and opportunities across all channels

  • Liaise with the DC to ensure stock availability meets trading needs

  • Work closely with Buying to oversee intake, allocations, and stock flow with MA support, ensuring timely execution

  • Support markdown and promo planning, ensuring accurate implementation and maintenance

  • Oversee the MA’s workload, setting clear objectives and offering regular feedback

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships across the business

  • Support ad-hoc analysis and departmental projects to drive growth and efficiency

  • Support the merchandiser in preparing information and strategies for internal & external meetings

Job requirements

You will have;

  • Good initiative and problem solving skills

  • Highly analytical & numerical

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong excel skills

  • Sound commercial acumen and a genuine interest in the retail market

  • Strong and clear communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels and cross functionally

  • Ability to work on own initiative and recognize when to ask for support

  • Coaching, mentoring mindset

  • Good presentation skills
